Cooking Class

Join Anna Kharzeeva and I on the 13th of September for an online zoom cooking class and food chat! I’ll be showing you how to make delicious pirozkhi (fried hand pies/buns) inspired by the forests of Belarus! We will fill them with mixed greens, egg and spring onion and on the side serve them with a sauce and cranberry salad. We will be chatting more about Belarusian food culture and Anna (a cookbook author and writer) will also be sharing inspiring stories of women from the USSR.

This class will be a way to raise money and provide support for the people of Belarus who are currently facing mass scale human rights violations since the recent elections in the country. More on that in the link here:

How to sign up for this zoom cooking class?

Donate to any of the active funds that are collecting donations for people in Belarus. Click on the google document and there you will find a list of options for donation. Select any one that you wish to donate to and once you make the donation, email/send a message on instagram to myself or Anna with a photo or screenshot of it. We will add you to the class list.

Duration of class: We are guessing it will be around 2 hours! So happy to keep chatting and have a virtual brunch/lunch or dinner (wherever you are located) together though! The actual cooking won’t take longer than 45 minutes but we would love to connect with you guys and any questions that you have.
